The Clipse Door Man Video

I like this joint. I'm sorta like a fan of The Clipse. This video is cool too, even though, I usually don't watch too many of them now a days.

This is sort of like a documentary. And they definitely hit a modelling agency or something.

Facebook saved a brotha!!!

Imagine this. Facebook kept a young man out of Rikers Island. He was locked up for 12 days.

Good thing he wrote something on his page or he would have been wrongfully convicted.

This dude was hustlin for real!!!!! Check this out.

This dude is bananas. I can't even believe this dude would try something like this.

And then he did it in Arizona! He bout to end up locked up for a while over this.

The Yankees are Hip Hop's Team!!!

You have to admit from the Yankee hats to the entertainment they gave us during the World Series (Jay Z and Alicia Keys) that the Yankees are Hip Hop's Team. What more could you want, a roster full of stars, big time payroll, and being in New York!!!

Other teams need to play catch up and put that hip hop and r & b in the mix.

50 Cent talking to Big Tigger

Out of all the rappers out now, including Jay-Z, this is the only dude I really enjoy listening too.

For those who are interested or in the music business, he gives you insight that you can't get no where else.

Plus he gives you crazy insight on others in the entertainment business.

Man had to go to prison to learn this?

It's a shame when brothers have to get locked up to realize that they have the power to make their life what they want to make it.

Nonetheless, I am glad that he has learned and is making the comments that he is making, because our children and youth, and even grown adults need to hear these words.

Best of luck to you Shyne.

Tell me she didn't fail.

Now I can appreciate the fact that she wanted to impersonate Lil Wayne, I don't know why, but to do the black face/brown face thing? Come on now. She obviously was ignorant of the history of America and how what she was doing would be perceived.

But we are definitely not at a place to give her a pass. The history of America's Civil Rights movement going back to Jim Crow and Slavery should never be forgotten.

But since when have Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders been admired for their smarts?

50 Cent Speaking the Real.

Like they say, "Manny being Manny!", this is 50 being 50. One thing I always enjoy about hearing this artists speak is that he is gonna tell you the truth as he sees it, and it is typically pretty entertaining. Check out what he says about Oprah and Gayle towards the end of the interview.

What was this football player thinking?

Doesn't he know that in this age of video, he will never live this down. Good thing you can't see his face. I know that young man is mighty embarassed though.

His player looked like he might of ran that one back for a few more yards too!

Jay Z and Alicia Keys Perform at the World Series

This is just what Major League Baseball needed. In order for the MLB to complete with the NFL and the NBA, they have to infuse hip hop culture, cause that is what helps the youth see it as something cool.

Although, I am sure that Jay Z did not intend to help market MLB, he has done what even the players and management could not do, and that was make baseball the coolest sport in the world for one night.

The Last 3 books Beno has Read

The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch

A book about how a Professor deals with cancer and his last few months readying his family for his death. He reflects on his life and gives us some ideas to make our life better.

(Neighbor let my wife borrow the book. I also noticed Giancarlo Esposito had the book when I met him.)

Marvin Gaye: What's Going On and the Last Days of the Motown Sound… Ben Edmonds

This book captures the history of Marvin Gaye and deals specifically on how he came to record the What's Going On LP. It give great insight into Motown Records, even mentioning Raynoma Gordy, who in my research was the business mind behind Motown.

(Purchased in Atlanta, West End for $5)

Be Careful Who You Love by Diane Dimond
After MJ's death, I like many other people rushed to read anything we could about our icon. This was the only book left in our library system, so I reserved it and checked it out. I would say this book is shocking, informative, chilling, etc. I would say read it. Michael was a genius entertainment wise, but privately, is where this story gets interesting.
(Checked it out from Albuquerque Library System)

P.S.
I read all 3 of these books within a months time. I always give credit to developing my love of reading in Ms. Allen's class at James Logan High School. It was here that I learned that I could read books that related to me and where about me. Thanks Ms. Allen.

Beno visits Morris Brown College on his Trip to Atlanta.

This was the spot back in the day, where all the students hung out, ate. When I started it was the girls dormitory. So every Lexus was parked out front trying to impress the girls. Brothas like myself didn't have nothing but our feet and a Marta pass.
This is the Phyllis Wheatley YWCA where Alpha Men mentored the children. I spent a lot of time in that building. Until now, I have never really tripped on how the children that I worked with are doing now. Who would know that I would go on to work eight years in education.

This yard used to be so full of life. It was hard to imagine how empty it has now become. I pray that Morris Brown will rise one day

This is the bridge. I have to put up another photo that I took when I was in school here. I was much younger and slimmer back then. We used to have a photographer named Spurge who used to take photos for two dollars back then. He was such a cool guy. I want to get in contact with him. Somebody hook me up.

Fountain Hall is where I took so many of my classes. I really grew as a young man and a student in this building do to the instructors that I had. I can't believe this builidng isn't buzzing with activity.

This is the Morris Brown Song. We had to memorize this in our Freshman Orientation Class.

Finally on the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. plot. It was a long journey, but I made it home! A Phiiiiiiiii!!!!!! The Alphas were the first brothers to help me transition on the campus. They looked out for me and treated me with respect and for that I will always be grateful. I guess they impacted me in how I would eventually treat others that I met.

Morris Brown College founded in 1881 by ex-slaves. How could we let an institution like this perish. I pray the Lord will bless this place and make it better than ever.

Reality Check: Lil Cease Vs. Lil Kim Feud [Full 2006 DVD Documentary]

I love real documentaries especially on the ins and outs of hip hop artists and their crews. This particular story is a big one because it addresses the issues of crime, "snitchin', and the ultimate responsibility that people must take for their own actions. Let me know what you think about it.

He spoke to us about listening to our voice, being in creation, and contributing positively to the world. I wish I had taken notes. This brother is deep!

New Documentary on Michael Jackson!!!! See it Here!!!

Nadim reports "In June 2005, Michael Jackson was acquitted of child molestation, but instead of returning to his Neverland home, he disappeared, wandering the globe for two years. Writer Jacques Peretti wanted to find out why. To this end, he tracks down the people inside the Jackson story who have never agreed to talk on camera before, including Bob Jones, his manager and right-hand man of 17 years; and Victor Guttierez, the investigative reporter who first uncovered allegations of child abuse and subsequently fled the US. They talk frankly about the details of the darkest moments in Jackson's life. What emerges is a story radically different from the one the public know: a picture both darker, more complex and more morally ambiguous than anyone could have imagined."

Cruisin to Jamaica

Youngest African-American Female Pilot

High Flying, Adored - 15-Year-Old Girl Pilots a Plane Coast to Coast
by Sally Worsham Jul 13th 2009 6:00PM

This LA teen flew a single-engine plane across the country this week. Photo: Tomorrow's Aeronautical Museum

On Saturday, 15-year-old Kimberly Anyadike finished a record-breaking flight across the country, becoming what is believed to be the youngest African-American female to pilot an airplane from coast to coast. The adventurous teenager flew from Compton Woodley Airport in Compton, CA, to Newport News, VA ,and back, making thirteen stops along the way. Her flight companions were an adult safety pilot and Levi Thornhill, an 87-year-old World War II veteran who flew with the Tuskegee Airmen, an all African-American combat unit in the U.S. Army Air Corps. Part of the reason for Anyadike's voyage was to honor the Tuskegee Airmen, dozens of whom she met throughout the journey.

Anyadike learned to fly both an airplane and a helicopter at Tomorrow's Aeronautical Museum in Compton in an after-school program that offers aviation lessons to underprivileged and at-risk youth. The museum owns the plane she flew on this historical trip.

It was Anyadike's idea to fly cross-country. She knew it would take tremendous preparation, but she felt strongly that she could do it. The Tuskegee Airmen served as further motivation for the high-flying teen.

"They left such a great legacy," she said. "I had big shoes to fill. All they wanted to do was to be patriots for this country. They were told no, that they were stupid, that they didn't have cognitive development to fly planes. They didn't listen. They just did what they wanted to do."'
Robin Petgrave, the aeronautical museum's founder tried to temper Anyadike's enthusiasm. "I told her it was going to be a daunting task but she just said, 'Put it on. I got big shoulders.' "

NEW MUSIC!! SLAUGHTER HOUSE -THE ONE

Joe Budden, Royce the 5’9, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I
This is a cool song. It has a alternative/rock vibe to it. The lyrics are creative and the way the spit back and forth add to the song. I definitely did not expect this. I give it a single, with a stolen base. -Beno

The Heavster is Back on the Reggae tip. Heavy D is one of the best rappers that our music has ever seen. He made being an "overweight lover" cool. Now he has gotten his acting on and is still doing his music, but maturing all the time.

I give this song a double.

Rev. Al Sharpton on Bill O'Reilly Show defending Michael Jackson as an Icon.

I believe that the Rev. Al Sharpton has been a great value and service for African-Americans in the U.S. He has mastered the art of publicizing and using media to fight for and defend those who otherwise would not be able to fend for themselves.

He has time and time again, stood up for causes and have brought notoriety to issues that many of us would never had known.

I think Rev. Al Sharpton should be appreciated for his contributions while he is still living, instead of giving him his props later on.

1993 Interview of Michael Jackson by Oprah Winfrey

This video is the bomb. When Oprah has Michael in his movie theater, you will see how he gives props to the "street kids" who really make the dance moves, and then he does his beat box which is bananas. He is truly a genius, and anyone who says different, just ignore them and run as far away as you can.

Former NFL quarterback Steve McNair found dead.

Former NFL quarterback Steve McNair has been shot and killed.
Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron confirmed that police were called to a residence and found McNair and a woman shot to death inside. Aaron said authorities don’t yet know the circumstances of the shooting.

“I don’t have any answers for you now as to what’s happened, who’s responsible,” he said.

Aaron said police have tentatively identified the woman but did not release her name.

McNair played 13 seasons in the NFL and led the Titans within a yard of forcing overtime in the 2000 Super Bowl. The former third overall draft pick also played for the Baltimore Ravens before retiring after the 2007 season.

“He was one of the finest players to play for our organization and one of the most beloved players by our fans,” Titans owner Bud Adams said in a statement. “He played with unquestioned heart and leadership and led us to places that we had never reached, including our only Super Bowl.”

We will always remember Michael in our hearts as part of the Apollo’s family of artists and a true Apollo legend. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. He will be deeply missed,” Procope told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “From the moment the news of his passing was made public, fans began gathering at the Apollo to pay their respects and celebrate Michael’s life. MANNYWOOD SELLS OUT ISOTOPE PARK!!!

Albuquerque is no stranger to movie starts and music stars. But Manny Ramirez is the biggest thing to come to Albuquerque EVER! It was evident last night as Manny single handedly sold out the Albuquerque Isoptopes Ball Park. Not only last night, but every night that he will be here. Nothing but standing room only.

Manny's presence electrified the crowd. Some had signs that were anti-Manny, but most where there to see a World Series Champion and one of the best hitters the game has ever produced.
Manny came out and showed love to the fans, signing autographs for the kids, and doing his part to fit in, if only for a moment.
Although he went 0 for 2 as the leadoff hitter, you know once he gets back to the Show that he will be a beast. Manny will play again tonight. This time, I have seats on the Left Field line.
The Manny merchandise is hot right now. Many fake dreadlock wigs, but Manny and I have something in common. Baseball and that our hair is Real!!!

MANNYWOOD COMES TO ALBUQUERQUE!!!

Tonight, the legendary baseball player Manny Ramirez will don a Albuquerque Isotopes (Triple A Affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers) Uniform. He will be playing as he prepares to rejoin the Los Angeles Dodgers after his 50 game suspension.

The buzz around Manny playing here, has created a demand for tickets never seen before in Albuquerque. I went to get mine today, and the only ticket I could get for tonight is on the "Berm", which is the grassy area behind the right field wall. I'll take it.

I was able to get a ticket down the Left Field Line for tomorrow nights game though. That was a come up. Hopefully, Manny will get a few AB's and play a little Left Field, so I can get a few photos to show you.

No matter what Manny was accused of, he is still for my money, one of the best ball players today. You never know what he will do next, but you can bet it will be good.

The Albuquerque Isotopes take on the Nashville Sounds starting at 7:05 p.m.

LSU GOES FOR COLLEGE WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP TODAY

Louisiana State University's Tigers Baseball Team, plays the Texas Longhorns in the 3 game final series for the 2009 College World Series Championship, in Omaha, Nebraska.

The first game will be played today at 5 p.m. I am especially rooting for the Tigers, because of a player named Derek Helenihi. I had the pleasure of coaching this young man a few years ago, while he was in high school, and to know that he is on the brink of becoming a champion college baseball player, means a lot to me. It would be nice to say that I have a player who won a College World Series.

Now the Texas Longhorns are no easy push over. They have been here before. However, I believe that LSU has been playing great baseball, sweeping all of their opponents thus far in the tournament.

So tune in, and root, root, root, for the Tigers, if they don't win it's a shame....

THIS DUDE IS BANANAS

Awesome Pop Lock Dancer
Here is a video clip of Robert Muraine's audition on 'So You Think You Can Dance'. This guy is awesome at the type of dance he does.

THIS IS THAT IGNORANT STUFF YOU LOVE!!!

When I first saw this video, I was so appalled at what I was seeing, but I braved through it and watched it all anyway! LOL

Anyway, I thought, man people need to see this, but I was like nah! That wouldn't be cool. But after further consideration, here it is.

I used to live in The Town, so I know how bad it can be. Why someone recorded this and posted it is beyond my comprehension.

But like Jay Z say, "This is the ignorant Sh.. you like...!"

Beno's Top 5 Rappers to Actors

Beno's Top 5 Rappers to Actors

Movies that include real life hip hop artists are nothing new. Since Hip Hop was born, movies have always had cameos of rappers, deejays, b-boys, graffiti artists and others. However, we can not deny the impact that having a rap artist in a motion picture provides. Rap Artists that have gone on to star in big motion pictures are Will Smith, LL Cool J, Busta Rhymes, Xzibit, DMX, Ice Cube, Dre, Snoop, Sticky Fingaz, Ice-T, Bow Wow, Saafir and a host of others.

I am a fan of hip hop movies in particular, but when a rap artist appears in a "mainstream" movie, I am more apt to peep it out and see if it is good or not, based on the rappers performance. I am glad that their celebrity gives them an opportunity to do other art and for the most part, make the project more appealing to the urban fan.

Beno's Top 5 Rappers to Actors are:

1.Will Smith
Will is the biggest success thus far as a rapper turned actor. He has been acting so long, that people probably have forgotten his cinematic raps about girls, parents and beating Mike Tyson. Will has captivated the U.S. and World as being a super hero type of being, through the characters that he portrays in the movie. Not only that, but Will has always had a great sense of humor showcased through his music and television show, The Fresh Prince. Smith has shown what the potential is for a rap artist who has acting skills and can play the game. Favorite Will Smith Movie-Hancock

2. Tupac
I believe that Tupac was born to act. Even in his music, he was able to make you see and believe what he was rapping about, because of his acting skills. Tupac has many films to his credit, that you can watch over and over again. Some of these films are Juice, Poetic Justice, Gang Related, and Gridlocked. When you think of Pac, you have to think of his acting. He was like the first "two art" Rapper. Almost like Deion Sanders and Bo Jackson, were "two sport" athletes. Favorite Tupac Movie-Juice

3. Ice T
Ironically, most of the world was introduced to Ice-T through a movie called Breakin'. That is how crafty this artists is. He has always played it cool, but you can tell, that he is serious about his art. Starring in numerous movies such as New Jack City and television shows, Law and Order, he has secured his place as a true actor in my book. Ice-T also serves as an example of if someone wants something bad enough, they can get it. Favorite Ice T Movie-New Jack City

4. Ice Cube
Cube has taken the game to the next level, because he not only starred in one of the biggest movies of our time, Boyz N the Hood, but he has gone on to write his Friday series and start his own lucrative production company. He can play serious roles as well, as carry a movie comically. One great achievement that should not go unnoticed as well, is his ability to cast new talent. By him including Chris Tucker, Katt Williams and Mike Epps, he aided them in gaining a greater notoriety and ability to be successful in the movie business on their own terms. Favorite Ice Cube Movie-Friday After Next

5. DMX
DMX is probably the closest thing to a Hollywood actor on this list. Not because of his acting skills, which are not bad, but because he gets in Hollywood type trouble. He is an example of the two edge sword that movie fame brings. One one hand you are given greater notoriety, opportunity and money. On the other hand, you begin to feel that you are above the law, like you are constantly on a movie set. Given his off screen problems that rival white actors, he has amassed a body of work and is becoming the next Wesley Snipes, with a string of B-movies. I hope DMX has an opportunity to get back on his grizzly and show the many dimensions that would make him a good co-star in a major movie. Favorite DMX Movie-Belly
Honorable Mentions:
LL Cool J, Mos Def, Snoop Dogg, Sticky Fingaz, Bow Wow, and T.I.

USHER HER OUT OF THE CRIB HOMEBOY!!

I have to say I am not shocked in the least that Usher filed for divorce from wife Tameka Foster Raymond. Now, I would not wish divorce on anybody, because I am sure that is a hard thing to go through. However, like I said, I knew this thing would not last. I thought he got bamboozled from the jump on that one. She came in the marriage with three children and was eight years older than Ush! In fact, if I was Usher, I would divorce all my friends too, cause somebody should of told me I was making a mistake! However, they do have two children, so everything ain't all that bad.

"That was some OOOH WEEE last night!"

When I saw Chicago Cub Outfielder, Milton Bradley catch a fly ball that he thought was the third out, and then throw the balls into the right field stands for the fans at Wrigley Field, I thought, that was nice.
But then the camera shows the runner on third; dumbfounded at what just happened, taking off to score. I thought, "Man, how is Bradley gonna explain that one?" Even though the runner would of probably tagged up and scored easily anyway, is not the point. As a professional Baseball player you should know the number of outs. You can ask your teammates or just look at the Big A88 scoreboards all around the stadium.
So my caption for this picture is, "That was some OOOH WEEE last night!"

Wendy Day Launches Company To 'Incubate' Urban Labels

By Chris Richburg

Aspiring music industry professionals will get a well-established helping hand in their quest for success from Rap Coalition founder Wendy Day.

Day’s assistance will come courtesy of Indie Label Builder, a new consulting company designed to work with clients in finding ways to sell their music and establish their own record label.

According to Day, the venture serves as an "incubator" to lay the groundwork for a successful stint in the music world, by utilizing the company’s expertise in launching labels and artists in a competitive field.

“The cool thing about incubating labels is that the success rate of urban indies will skyrocket,” Wendy Day told AllHipHop.com. “There has never been a better time in the history of the music business to start a record label. The internet leveled the playing field, the majors had to open their system of distribution to indies in order to remain afloat financially, and the barrier to entry is quite low--anyone can start a label.”

Services offered by Indie Label Builder include planning, organization, promotions, set up and company structuring.

The company also offers day-to-day assistance in regards to tax structure and payments, marketing plans, budgets, selling CDs and digital downloads and obtaining proper contracts for artists and producers.

“Indies no longer have to learn by trial and error, or lose money from trusting the wrong people,” Wendy Day continued. “This is like hiring a General Manager with experience and a track record of success to oversee and run your label, while teaching your staff, for a fraction of the price. And on Indie Label Builder's side of the business, we get to incubate and grow numerous successful labels each year. It's like what I have been doing for the past 15 years, but on turbo boost! I'm so excited about this.”

In addition to the Rap Coalition, the writer/business woman made a name for herself while managing the careers of rappers such as Slick Rick, Twista, Ras Kass, Cash Money Records, David Banner and others.

With her latest venture, Day is looking to provide equal footing for those who have encountered roadblocks on their way to garnering success.

“You can expect a nurturing environment where they can build and run their companies under the guidance of someone with my experience, expertise, and track record--for less than you'd pay an employee.”

Beno's Top 5 Rappers

To name 5 Rappers/Rap Groups that are the best that ever did this music is a challenge. Being that I truly appreciate everyone that has contributed to this music and culture. Five just does not really do justice to artists like Melle Mel, KRS-One, Chuck D, Ice-T, Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest, Treach, and the list could go on and on and on.
However, if I had to go out on a limb, and these were the people that I would give props to

1. RUN DMC

RUN DMC paved the way for all of the commercial success that rap artists enjoy today. But it wasn't all about money for these guys. The songs they created had socially conscious lyrics and they encouraged you to be all you could be. Lyrics about going to college made an impact on me, especially considering that many rappers today, do not include those themes in their songs. However, it was that hard driving boom bap and just plain old b-boy style that set RUN-DMC above all others. No one could copy there style. Later I would learn that DMC (Darryl McDaniels) actually wrote most of the rhymes for Run. So DMC deserves a lot of credit for the groups success. However, it was RUN's persona that carried the group and drew fans the world over. Songs like Sucker MC's, Hard Times, Peter Piper, My Adidas, and Rock Box are just a few of my favorite songs from RUN DMC. But the one that really marks how hard the were was the live recording of "Here We Go". So to make a list of five rappers who were and are at the top of the game, but you cannot ignore RUN DMC ever!!!!

2. ERIC B AND RAKIM

What more can you say but KNOWLEDGE? Eric B and Rakim brought the music that made you think to the game. They made you use chines arithmetic to add up the number of emcees that Rakim would eat up. His delivery over the gritty music, was punctuated by how calm and smooth he was. You got the sense that Rakim was not easily riled up. Through his music he taught you to be cool, thoughtful and collected. There has not been many rappers after Rakim, that have been able to capture that unique and special touch that he was able to convey in his records. They were also trendsetters, as they bordered on that line of Street Hustling and Rap, way before others made that connection. Some of my favorite cuts are "Move the Crowd, "Eric B for President", "Microphone Fiend" and "Follow the Leader".
3. LL Cool J

You can not be a true fan of rap music and not have been a fiend of LL Cool J's music. LL was single handedly the biggest, baddest and youngest artist in the late eighties to make the ladies swoon and the fellas search the airwaves to hear his latest jams. His youthful energy and swagger, long before it was even a hip term to use, engrossed young people. His lyrics were the kind, that you find your boy in the school yard and you spit the line, "I'm notorious, I'll crush you like a jelly bean!". You would look no further than LL Cool J, as someone you wanted to be like. And then you take into account the staying power and the fact that he is still able to make records, proves that he was really one of our greatest song writers of our time. He has continued to redefine himself, but his first albums, Radio and Bigger and Deffer, should get more acclaim than they do. Some of my favorite Cool J songs are, "Radio", "Candy", "Mama Said Knock You Out", and yes I hate to admit it, but so what "I Need Love" was one of the biggest records in a young persons life back then. Oh, and then don't forget his multiple battles and one of the illest battles songs ever, "Jack The Ripper!"

4. Ice Cube

Ice Cube, is the most prolific rap artist ever. He is in a class by himself. What he did for Rap would revolutionize the music industry and country for years to come. Ice Cube gained fame as a member of N.W.A. His writing ability enabled the groups members to flourish. After leaving N.W.A. over royalty disputes, he recorded Amerikkkas Most Wanted. It was a day that I know I will never forget. I remember driving to Fremont, to the record store to buy that TAPE!!! Yes, a cassette tape. Cube was able to capture the feelings of people and paint stories so vividly, that it would serve him well in his future movie production company, Cube Vision. But what made Ice Cube so great was the emotion that he was able to express in his delivery. You could feel the pain, the anger, the hurt, the comedy, and the conviction. One of my favorite line in rap ever, come from Ice Cube, when he says on "Us"' "Us will always sing the blues, cause all we care about is hair styles and tennis shoes, and if you stepped on mine, you pushed a button, cause i'll beat you down like it a'int nothing!" For him to capture that, and that still be the prevailing thought of America's youth today, is mind blowing. Think about it. Anything Cube created from N.W.A. on up to his current Independent releases, is thought provoking, poignant, funny and worth your time to listen to. Some of my favorite cuts of Cube's are "A B++ch is A B==tch", "Once Upon A Time In the Projects", "Good Day" and the list goes on and on and on.

5. TUPAC

From the first time that I saw Tupac and heard his music, I was a fan. He had just been embroiled in a dispute with the Oakland Police Department for Jay Walking where he was harassed and assaulted. Immediately, I knew he was in the struggle. Upon listening to his first album 2Pacalypse Now, I was drawn in by his thoughtful lyric content with message dealing with everyday life of a young black man, that I related to right away. Not to forget that Brenda's Got a Baby and If My Homie Calls were in my opinion great songs. I don't think anyone knew Pac had the capabilities to create songs with a song writing ability that would influence every other rapper to come. Even the likes of Jay-Z, 50 Cent and countless others borrow his phrases, delivery and passion. It is unfortunate that Tupac was never able to do the type of music that he started out doing. Take a listen to his first album and you can see where he was at with his topics, and due to the audience not really being there with him, he began to change his content, and although it probably wasn't what he really wanted to express, it brought him the fame. It ultimately cost him his life. But there will never be another Tupac, as there will never be another Marvin Gaye or Bob Marley. Some of my favorite Tupac Songs are, "Keep Ya Head Up", "Pour Out a Little Liquor", "I Get Around", to name a few.
Conclusion
While I know everybody has there own opinion on who is the top rappers and emcees, these are my choices. I know that if you can agree with me on these choices that you really respect rap. For me, while I dig T.I., Jay-Z and others, there is no way that I could rank them above the people that came before them. You have to pay respect to those who came before you. And I believe this list does that. So to the up and coming Hip Hop Fans, rappers, producers, and entertainers, get to know the past artists and how the contributed to our great Musical Culture and add on to it Positively.
