Eady's Chicago

These are a few photos of my sister Sherry and I with my and dad. You can see, they always kept us looking clean.

You can't tell me I wasn't a cute child. lol. Are you peeping the baseball and bat in my hand. Who knew I would still be using those things today?!

All I can think of, is how lucky I am to have the parents I have and the life that they worked so hard to give me. Thank God.

Bub, Elmo and the kids.

This is a polaroid of my Great Grandfather Bub which was his nickname and my uncle Elmo. You can see that Elmo was a sharp dresser no doubt. I was suited and booted too. lol.

This is my first time seeing this photo, but I love it.

1992 Senior Prom

Man, what more can I say?! The photo says it all! These were some of my closest homeboys in high school. I am still in contact with a few of them. We kinda just took this photo on the fly. But it marks one of the best times in my life. James Logan High School. I came up with our class motto which was, "Peace, Love, Unity and 92!"

My first modeling gig!

This was my first modeling gig. Jess Z. and I had driven some friends to take their senior portraits one summer day, and we were just chillin' outside listening to some Gangstarr.

Somehow, we end up wandering into the building where the photographer gave us some cash to go to the Kmart across the street to buy the basketball that you see in my hands.

The photographer went on to use this photo in advertisements and I believe I got the hook up on my own Senior Photos.

A Friend who is always there.

This is Graduation day, December 14, 1997 at Georgia State University, Atlanta, GA. My parents came, my auntie and cousin from Greenville, Mississippi came. And here is a photo of one of my greatest friends in life, "D".

Not only has he been there for this graduation, but he has been there for my wedding, my graduation from Graduate School, and any place I move, he always comes to see me. I haven't been to Atlanta in over 10 years. I feel like Rosco Jenkins in that regard. But he never holds it against me and I ran across this photo and had to give my boy his props.

The Original Project S.O.A.R.

This photo was taken at Merritt College in Oakland, California around 2004-2005.

This picture represents the original leadership, staff, Academic Counselors and Tutors that worked with the Oakland Unified School District's Class of 2005.

With our help, many more students were able to attend college, and other post secondary opportunities.

In this photo, I see so many people that I spent countless hours with, working, laughing, planning, etc.

I hope Project S.O.A.R. (Successful Options for Academic Readiness) continues to do the work that we started in 1999.

GOOD DAY AT THE PLATE

Today I had a baseball game. I DH'd the whole game. I went 2 for 3, with two rbi's, one stolen base and one run scored. I used my old trusted bat "Joe Black"! He came through for me. The score of the game was 12-3.

Now I am in the studio listening to a beat I just made and contemplating what I will write and record over it. I holla at y'all when it's done.

FROM THE CHEST

What's good. I went back into Casino Beno Studio yesterday!! That's two days in a row!

I recorded two new songs. One I had written and already produced but never recorded. The name of that song is "Open Up". It is just a song about me not giving up, because "One Verse can make the Universe Open Up to me in a way that I want in regards to people hearing the message in my music."

The second song is called "From The Chest". That song I wrote the beat on the spot and then wrote the rap. I like recording like this the best, because it is the most spontaneous experience and there is no over thinking. It is just the realest experience.

You can hear the songs at the following link.

I hope you enjoy them.

I LIKE WHAT I HEAR!!!

So last night I recorded four new songs. And today, I listened to them over and over and over again. That is a pretty good sign that I like them. LOL
I posted them up on my website at http://www.eadymusicgroup.com/benosongaweekproject2.html.

I left my studio feeling better than I had in weeks. I drew inspiration from a video that I saw on www.dajaz1.com. It was a video of P.Diddy and Lil Wayne talking about their work ethic. And it inspired me, because you get out of this, what you put into it. So I made my mind to put everything I have into this. Shout out to Diddy and Wayne for even sharing those motivational words. Who would have ever known the impact they would have on my life at this time. I can't never knock them. LOL.

Now I am back in the studio. Let's see what happens next!

One Love,

Beno

What do we have here?

Thursday, June 26, 2008
Last night I got back on my horse and recorded FOUR songs.

The first song was called "Hit Da Studio" in which I took a sampleof Tupac from "To Live and Die in L.A."

The second song is called "Tomorrow Never Comes", because it doesnt. The only thing we have is the here and now!

The third song was "Main Attraction" by Mario, which is an unreleased song that I just hopped on and recorded.

And the last song, is called "Gotta Get Me".

I started at about 6 p.m. and finished at about 12 p.m.

I'm Back. This is not a hobby!

Wednesday, June 25, 2008
Today I am getting back on my grind and recording my music. I plan to go hard everyday. I am not going to take my eye offof the ball! It is so easy to get sidetracked from your dreamsand passions, doing things that are important. Like chilling out, watching TV, working late, shopping, etc. But nothing is moreimportant to me than making my dreams come true, and provingthat this is not a mere hobby for me. This is my life. So I amnot sure what this recording session will hold or what song willcome out, I know I will be bumping something new come tomorrow.Pray for me!--Beno
