Beno's Pick for 2009 NBA MVP

There is no doubt that this is still the best player in the NBA today. I am not taking anything from Lebron, Chris Paul, Paul Pierce, Shaq, and everybody else, but there is no one who takes a fade away jumper better! LOL. Kobe has stepped his game up and made the Lakers better all around and plus he continues to dominate and take control when the game is on the line.
For 2009, I just do not see this trophy going to anyone else.

Lord Help Me on the Keys! LOL

Last Wednesday, I went to my boy's Church for Bible Study. And as I was sitting there, the Pastor began talking about their need for a piano player and said that he had a vision that God was going to send them one real soon. Then he looked at me! He asked me if I could play the piano, and I replied, "I don't think I play well enough for the Church." But I told him, "You never know, maybe the Lord will bless me to play when I wake up tomorrow." (Thank you Lord, for waking me up the next day and since then. : ) )

I ended up taking the Hymnal home and calling one of my good friends Ron P. and asked him for his advice. He gave me some advice and encouragement. Since then, I have been praying, practicing and learning more about the keyboard. I would love to be able to fill in and play the piano in church. But I know, that it won't come without being willing to put in some work.

I just had to share the story, because I use the above picture to help me visualize playing chords.
So pray for me, that if it is meant for me to play the keys for the Lord, that I will be able to do it, and fast. LOL.

Eady's Chicago

These are a few photos of my sister Sherry and I with my and dad. You can see, they always kept us looking clean.

You can't tell me I wasn't a cute child. lol. Are you peeping the baseball and bat in my hand. Who knew I would still be using those things today?!

All I can think of, is how lucky I am to have the parents I have and the life that they worked so hard to give me. Thank God.

Bub, Elmo and the kids.

This is a polaroid of my Great Grandfather Bub which was his nickname and my uncle Elmo. You can see that Elmo was a sharp dresser no doubt. I was suited and booted too. lol.

This is my first time seeing this photo, but I love it.

Mom and Dad looking Fly! 1976

I ran across this 1976 photo of my mom and dad looking fly. I think this was on a visit to California, where we eventually moved.

1992 Senior Prom

Man, what more can I say?! The photo says it all! These were some of my closest homeboys in high school. I am still in contact with a few of them. We kinda just took this photo on the fly. But it marks one of the best times in my life. James Logan High School. I came up with our class motto which was, "Peace, Love, Unity and 92!"

My first modeling gig!

This was my first modeling gig. Jess Z. and I had driven some friends to take their senior portraits one summer day, and we were just chillin' outside listening to some Gangstarr.

Somehow, we end up wandering into the building where the photographer gave us some cash to go to the Kmart across the street to buy the basketball that you see in my hands.

The photographer went on to use this photo in advertisements and I believe I got the hook up on my own Senior Photos.

A Friend who is always there.

This is Graduation day, December 14, 1997 at Georgia State University, Atlanta, GA. My parents came, my auntie and cousin from Greenville, Mississippi came. And here is a photo of one of my greatest friends in life, "D".

Not only has he been there for this graduation, but he has been there for my wedding, my graduation from Graduate School, and any place I move, he always comes to see me. I haven't been to Atlanta in over 10 years. I feel like Rosco Jenkins in that regard. But he never holds it against me and I ran across this photo and had to give my boy his props.
